Father's Lament - by Jay Carrington
20 mile fixed gear ride for lunch
half a dozen laps around the house with a two year old
Eleven o'clock, web surfing, third glass of wine
Something with a goat on the label...putrid (sorry bob)
Welcome to life

Fans - by Dan Wolfson
Thousands of people
different colors
different faces
in a blur
clapping
cheering you on
a sense of motivation
you dig deeper

Endorphine Count - by Dan Wolfson
The zone
a blue color
a neutral feeling
my legs spin
spin on
the scenery whizzes by
the undulating terrain lifts me
gently lowers me
gradually changes my direction
my deep breathing
a calm, relaxed rhythmic pattern
my mind is off in another land
a land far, far away
a parallel blue dimension
the cool wind flowing
in an endless path
hits my face and ears
the sound is amplified by the lush green trees
that line the road
my legs spin
free
the zone
blue
neutral.
