NEBC's 50-Mile Modified Team Time Trial

Help us celebrate NEBC’s 50th anniversary as a club by participating in NEBC’s 50-Mile Modified Team Time Trial, or 50MMTTT. Each team will be made up of five members and each team member will ride the Charlie Baker Time Trial (CBTT) course, which is almost 10 miles, thus making it a 50-mile team time trial for our 50th anniversary.

The major difference between our 50th anniversary TTT and a “real” TTT is that in the 50MMTTT the team does not ride on the road together. Instead we take the best individual time trail time for each of the five team members (posted at any CBTT during the contest period) and add those times together. The teams with the best total times will win prizes.

The contest runs through July and August and is open to all NEBC members. Each team member must race at a Wednesday evening CBTT at least once during those two months. Team members do not have to race on the same evening, and they can race as many times as they want. Each week we will post the teams’ scores, so you can see how you are doing and try to move up in the standings by bettering your time at another CBTT.

The objective of the 50MMTTT is threefold: to celebrate NEBC’s 50th anniversary, to get more NEBC members to ride the Charlie Baker Time Trial, and, most importantly, to have some fun. So get together with your friends and form a team, give yourself a fun name, and send me (phillip.stern@gmail.com) the following information before July 1st.

The only requirements are that 1) each team member must be a current NEBC member, and 2) each team must be coed, with at least one female and at least one male on each team.

  • Name of the team
  • Name of team member #1
  • Name of team member #2
  • Name of team member #3
  • Name of team member #4
  • Name of team member #5

If you want to get in on the 50MMTTT fun, but don’t want to organize a team, just send me (phillip.stern@gmail.com) your name and I’ll put you on a team of like-minded people.
