Attleboro Kid’s Grass Crit - 7-15-08

10-11 Alec Marzot 1st

This race was harder than I expected. There were 8 other kids and some had good bikes. I knew to start fast since it was such a short race but some guy got out front right away. I caught up to him and was on his wheel the whole time then in the 3rd lap I came around him. I kept going and won! But I didn’t know the race was over and I did an extra lap by accident. The race was on grass and not as long or as cool as the NEBC road crit. I wished I had cyclocross tires. After the race we took my medal and put it on my grandmum’s grave there in Attleboro . That was a special thing.

Taylor Bruneau
5-6 yo. Geez. That seems hard riding on the long grass. I had fun though.

Shea Bruneau
8-9 yo. 3rd place. I’m glad I did the race. I brought the road bike, and thought we were going to ride on the road, but it was harder on the grass. I still had fun. We were told to stay away from kids with pegs on their bikes. I would have done better but one kid with pegs kept moving in front of me, so I slowed down to protect the wheels from the pegs. That’s why I got 3rd place.
