[Victoria Gates]
My goals were to keep it up right, finish, and practice switching bikes if I was way back. The start was bad and I lost alot of time there. Ever since then I was having a hard time. On the end of the second lap I was so far behind I swapped bikes. All in all under the circumstances, it was a pretty good race.

Well who said a cold can be ignored – got lost, barely got there in time … almost pre ride … race held for me (1 min late, no Jersey/number on). The course was pretty fast, would have been hugely fast if dry. Short strips of paved paths connected single track, with fallen trees as barriers and a small ‘grass crit’ area with short spurts of regular road. I decided to ride with Victoria, and she did vry well, I practiced power out of corners, and mounting skills … keeping it below anaerobic for the most part, and won $40 as 3rd woman.
This is a race that we should try to support, I had a lot of fun.
