The weather cooled off enough to avoid heatstroke, but an east wind kept the times a little slower than usual. Greg Robidoux continued his string of excellent performances and finished 1 second ahead of Kurt Hackler. Will this be the year that the open category championship changes hands? We'll have to wait and see what the road race and next week's TT have to bring. (Maybe Kurt will be back with his disk wheel.) Philip Keyes had to use some of his mountain biking skill tonight as he was forced off the road by a car. Thankfully, he did not crash and finished shaken, but safe.
