Though you may have been born a burro rather than a thoroughbred with hard work, perseverance and lots of training, you can be a really fast burro, and that’s gotta count for something.

Q: How did you spend this off-season?
A: Off-season, what is this strange thing of which you speak?

Q: What are your goals for 2009?
A: To do less poorly than last season.

Q: What are your Favorite Books?
A: King and Crichton.

Q: What is your Favorite Race?
A: Any one after which I don’t feel compelled to throw up.

Q: When did you start racing, how and why?
A: Started in 1993 and was not prepared in the least.

A: JB, JM, KH, FM and MM

Q: What was your first bike? When/how did you get it?
A: Columbia 20” girl’s hand-me-down .

Q: What was your first win?
A: The 1998 Freetown Big Bang, on a tandem with my (future) wife.

Q: What would you consider your finest moment on the bike?
A: 2008 CBTT tandem course record.

Q: What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen on a bike ride?
A: You don’t want to know and I don’t want to recollect.

Q: When you’re not on your bike, what do you like to do?
A: Not on a bike? You mean like when you’re sleeping?

A: My wife Cathy.

A: The BAD-ASS.

A: Tenacious.
