4th Annual Smuttynose Portsmout Criterium

5th: Susanne Delaney, 7th: Karin Mackin, 8th: Rebecca Wellons, 15th: Clara Kelly, 16th: Tami Buhr; Sam Dery – DNF (crash on last lap)
From the start S&W pushed the pace hard with Debony leading the way. There were several attacks throughout the race, by all S&W riders but nothing that stuck or got away. NEBC Elite women launched several attacks of our own followed by counter attacks on most of them. Rebecca got a prem. With 5 to go the pace picked up, one last attempt by S&W to shake us, but it didn’t work. Then on the final lap coming around the final corner, it was S&W 1st and 2nd, but there was a lag in when they decided to jump and sprint. I found the field clogging up so I went right and started sprinting at the same time Katherine Carr and Eve McNeil went.
